They say it takes 10,000 hours of practice to achieve mastery in a field. But you’re not in a field are you mate - you’re on stage - and all eyes are on you. Now we can’t do anything about the shoddy acoustics or your dopey band-mates, but we can certainly make sure you look the part, and nothing says Acid Rock like full flowing locks. While your performance should be polished, your hairstyle certainly shouldn’t, so we’ll be adopting a less-is-more philosophy to get you out the door.

Step 1: Soundcheck those locks

Fluffy hair is public enemy number one of shoulder-length locks. To gain the upper hand, start with our Twice As Smart Taming Shampoo & Conditioner to discipline even the most unruly of mops. Once your hair is dry, squeeze a guitar-pick-sized amount of Seriously Groomed Beard & Hair Balm into your palms and work it through the lengths and ends of your mane for control and definition.

Top-tip; if your hair is fine, use a little less product so you don’t wind up with lank locks. Similarly, thick hair may warrant a second helping. You can also twist the product into your hair to create more structure. Finally, we suggest you stay chummy with your barber as long hair requires regular maintenance to avoid looking scraggly and unkempt.

Step 2: Tune up your facial face

It’s now time to turn your attention to your beard. A well-maintained beard gives any musician serious cred. Masters and Sensei’s have beards. Debutants do not. So, reach for another helping of the Beard & Hair Balm and use your fingers to work it through your beard, scruffing up then smoothing down as you go. Rock on mate.

That’s about all there is to it. Now get up there and give them the best damn rendition of Mary Had A Little Lamb they’ve ever heard.
